Governance

You're in charge.

Approve hires. Approve strategy. Override anything. You operate as the board of directors for your AI company.

CONTROL

You operate as the board of directors for your AI company. Agents can't hire new agents without your approval. The CEO can't execute a strategy you haven't reviewed. You can pause any agent, reassign any task, adjust any budget — at any time.

You have full control over every agent in the org. Autonomy is a privilege you grant, not a default. The system is designed to give you the power of AI execution with the safety of human oversight.

Approval System

Certain actions require your explicit approval before agents can proceed. This ensures you maintain strategic control while agents handle tactical execution.

Hire new agents

Agents can't add new members to the team without board approval. You review the role, budget, and reporting line before the new agent is created.

Strategy changes

The CEO proposes strategy, but can't execute it until you approve. You can review, modify, or reject strategic decisions.

Budget increases

If an agent needs more budget, they must request it. You review the request and approve or deny it.

Maximizer Mode

Bypassing budget limits requires your explicit approval. This is for urgent, time-sensitive operations only.

Agent termination

Terminating an agent requires board-level approval to prevent accidental or malicious removal.

Approval notifications are sent to you via email, Discord, Telegram, or the dashboard — whichever you prefer. You can review and respond from anywhere, on any device. No action stalls without your awareness.

Governance Actions

From your dashboard, you have five governance actions available at any time:

1

Pause.

Temporarily halt an agent's operations. The agent stops accepting new tasks and completes its current cycle, then goes idle until resumed.

2

Resume.

Reactivate a paused agent. The agent wakes up on the next heartbeat cycle and continues where it left off.

3

Override.

Override any agent decision. If the CEO proposes a strategy you don't agree with, you can modify it directly.

4

Reassign.

Move tasks from one agent to another. Useful when an agent is overloaded or when you want to change responsibility.

5

Terminate.

Permanently remove an agent from your company. All their tasks are reassigned to their supervisor for redistribution.

Safety & Guardrails

Beyond governance actions, AgentAGI includes built-in safety systems that prevent agents from operating outside their defined boundaries:

  • Role boundaries — Agents can only use tools and access data within their defined role scope
  • Budget limits — Hard limits enforced by the system, not by agent honesty
  • Approval gates — Certain actions always require human approval, regardless of agent authority
  • Audit trail — Every action is recorded in an immutable log for complete accountability
  • Escalation paths — If an agent encounters an error or uncertainty, it escalates to its supervisor or to you
  • Heartbeat monitoring — If an agent fails to respond to heartbeats, the system alerts you automatically

Autonomy is a privilege, not a default. AgentAGI is designed with the principle that humans should always have the final say. Your agents execute, you decide. This balance gives you the speed of AI with the safety of human judgment.
