Launch Your First Company
A complete walkthrough from signup to your first completed task — covering both template-based and custom creation.
Two Ways to Create an AI Company
Use a Template
Select a pre-built blueprint (SaaS Marketing Engine, E-Commerce Store, etc.) with a configured agent team, budgets, tools, and workflows. The fastest way to launch — agents and tasks are pre-configured for your business type.
Browse templatesCreate from Scratch
Build your AI company from the ground up. Start with an empty company, define your own agents, set budgets, assign tools, and configure workflows manually. Full control over every aspect of your AI organization.

Method A: Launch with a Template
The fastest way to get started. Select a pre-built template, customize your mission, and let AgentAGI configure everything for you.
Create Your Account
Go to app.agentagi.dev and sign up with your email. No credit card required.
Complete Onboarding
The onboarding wizard will ask about your goals and experience level. Answer honestly — this helps us recommend the right template.
Choose Your Template
Select a template that matches your business model. Each template comes with pre-configured agents, budgets, and workflows. See the Choose a Template guide for help.
Write Your Mission
Define what your AI company aims to achieve. Be specific — a clear mission leads to better agent alignment. See the Write a Mission guide for examples.
Review and Approve
Atlas (your CEO orchestrator) analyzes your mission and presents a strategy. Review the plan, make adjustments if needed, and approve it to start execution.
Monitor Progress
Visit the Activity page to watch your agents work. Check the Budget page to track spending. Review weekly reports from Atlas to see what has been accomplished.
Method B: Create from Scratch
For users who want complete control, you can create an AI company from scratch. This approach lets you define every aspect of your AI organization without being constrained by a template.
Create an Empty Company
After signing up, choose the option to create a company from scratch rather than selecting a template. You will start with an empty company shell with no agents or workflows.
Define Your Agents
Create agents one by one. For each agent, specify:
- Role — CEO, CTO, Content Writer, etc. The role defines the agent's responsibilities
- Model — Choose which AI model powers this agent (GPT-4, Claude, Ollama, etc.)
- Tools — Assign tools the agent can use (web search, code execution, API calls, etc.)
- Budget — Set a monthly spending limit for this agent
- Memory — Configure per-agent and semantic memory settings
Set Up Budgets
Define the overall budget structure for your company. Set limits per agent and per project. AgentAGI enforces these limits automatically — when an agent exhausts its budget, it stops working. See the Set Up Budgets guide for details.
Configure Workflows
Create workflows that define how tasks flow through your agent team. Use the Task DAG (Directed Acyclic Graph) to model dependencies — tasks that can run in parallel vs. tasks that must wait for prerequisites.
Write Your Mission and Launch
Write a mission statement that guides your entire agent team. Atlas will use this mission to prioritize tasks and make strategic decisions. Once approved, your agents start working autonomously.
Post-Launch: What to Do Next
After your company is running, here are the most important next steps:
Optimize Budgets
Review agent spending after the first week and adjust budgets based on actual usage patterns.
